Last Friday, the night before their scheduled playoff game, 2 members of the Sharon PA football team were killed and another was critically injured in a car wreck.

Their playoff game was postponed until Monday night.

They played Girard PA who scored a go ahead touchdown with 13 seconds left.

Here is a video of Sharon's final play, and very powerful and touching moment from a member of the Girard football team.

They were all killed/injured during the football game?. . . OP gives no clues as to how the players died.

yep. Nothing like seeing a kid do such a great thing on his own. Parents should be super proud. Always good to hear the great stories.

My senior year of high school our Week 1 opponent had a player die and and a couple others get injured. We ended up playing the game two weeks later on a Tuesday, sandwiched between two other Friday games. I couldn't imagine what was going on in the heads of that team.

My nephew was on that team and was pretty tight with the QB. Every team they played that season did something for them. The last game before the accident there were two young boys who were honorary ball boys, and there is a picture of them running out on the field, each one holding the hand of one of the players that died
