Maybe this will make it slightly interesting. The last few seasons have been a snooze IMO.

LINK

quote:

The season begins like any other: Seven young, attractive and single diverse cast-mates from around the country move into a house (first cast photo above). They’ll start to form bonds, with each other and with San Francisco locals. Then, one month into the three-month shoot, they’ll go away for a day trip. When they return, they’re in for a huge shock: Their exes have moved in too.

they're really reaching to make this show relevant again. Can't believe they haven't killed it yet. How do the ratings justify it at this point?

Seems like the dumbest idea yet by MTV. Likely the last nail in the coffin for a once great show.

Also, Big Brother did this at one point I think.

Holy shite. MTV desperately trying to make the Real World relevant again.

2 of those chicks were fine though so I'm willing to give it a shot

Honestly all the RW is good for now is getting new people for the Challenges.

Same. Honestly, anything is better than what they have been giving us the past couple of seasons.

Has The Real World been relevant since about the 3rd or 4th season ?

Yep. I like to keep watching so I stay up on potential new challenge competitors. This sounds like it could at least be more interesting than the last few seasons.

It was solid though the Hawaii/Chicago seasons.

The first Vegas one was good.

Hollywood was good, but they kicked off Greg and Joey went batshit and then the season was crap.

How would that even work?

Like theres no way that MTV could tell the exes they are going to be on the show and the main cast not find out about it

On the other hand this just doubles the chances of getting some good Challenge participants

I really miss the early seasons when the show was about getting people with opposing views to confront each other as they attempted to live together (kinda like how Big Brother started out as). Since the Vegas season, the whole "let get all beautiful people, liquor them up, and see how much sex they have with each other" has become an absolute joke.

Though I wonder what the crazy Vegas chick from Louisiana is doing these days. I would still hit it.

lol they tried this the DC season (XXIII) and it was a train wreck. They had basically every type of person you could think of: tranny, homo, lesbian, frat guy, pretty chick, guido, racist black dude. Seriously it was painful to watch.

The issue the past couple of seasons is the cast mates are just boring.

So much for that idea. It's probably been a good fifteen years since I've watched a real world. Glad I didn't miss anything.

They're ending it at 30 seasons, there will be 1 more after this one.

Don't really like this idea much, seems like last season with that crazy black chick times 7.

Come the end of the 30th, "RW is as popular as ever! Be prepared for the just renewed 31th season. It'll featured a twist so shocking, it'll be like nothing you've ever seen on tv before!!!"
