quote:

Moffitt said he began studying the writings of Chomsky, the influential linguist and political philosopher, and the head of Tibbetan Buddhism while studying sociology at the University of Wisconsin. “I just really thought about it and decided I’m not happy,” Moffit said. “I’m not happy, and I think it’s really madness to risk your body, risk your well-being and risk your happiness, for money.” Moffitt said he planned to spend more time with his father and 5-year-old daughter, and he also intends to diet to shed some of his 319-pound playing weight.

Moffitt is a hilarious guy. I don't know if people here have heard of the Real Rob Report, but he was a legend on there. If you are really, really bored, you can watch his "Best of" video LINK

That was hilarious. If he was still in the league, he would be one of my favorites.

I assume you have read Chomsky, or did Glenn Beck "interpret" it for you?

Chomsky isn't a moron. He's a very liberal guy who I disagree with on many things he believes in but not a moron.

What's interesting about Chomsky is he has been a VERY HARSH critic of Obama. Chomsky is a true liberal. Not the piece of shite liberals of today.

The term "liberal" is so overplayed that it doesn't have true meaning anymore.

If conservatives looked at his takes on the U.S. government, they'd discover that they agree with a lot of what he says.

I do. Absolutely. I'm a libertarian so it's easy for me to look at everyone with an open mind and agree or disagree with their views.

Like I said, I think Chomsky is a smart guy and I do agree with a lot of his views but there are some that I don't like his view on "employees owning the workplace". I dislike unions with a passion MOSTLY because of their leadership. I know most union workers are hardworking, good people. But their bosses are usually pieces of shite who want nothing more to bleed companies dry.

Oh I know. Today's "liberals" agree with many Bush policies that have been extended by Obama (e.g. Patriot Act).

reading chomsky made him realize he was unhappy?

additionally, this guy is a 3rd string scrub who takes zero hits, so also about his body.

Basically he had to show up and he would've made some serious cash...what a tool. I'm sure he'll go far with that sociology degree.
