Can someone explain to me what happens and why he haven't fixed this all year ? Is it just because we collapse and they kick is it that simple. I'm wondering how you don't address this. Thoughts ?

Monty's philosophy is to collapse the paint as much as possible and keep people away from the rim. Good teams force teams to take mid-range shots. We can't seem to chase teams off the line AND keep them out of the paint (it's arguable if we're even good at that). At least the weakside help is creating some turnovers this year compared to last. It also seems that once you allow any player at this level to get comfortable, they start hitting those 3's in your face too, compounding the problem.

It's quite frankly a bullcrap strategy. Only twice this year have we had teams shoot under 20 (19 was one of those 2) on us and we haven't taken more than 15 all year. Pretty telling how Monty views the 3 point shot as opposed to every other coach in the NBA.

It's a scheme failure, something that is corrected through practice and a proper defensive rotation that is drilled into the team after repetition against a scout team

I don't know what coach frickhead does everyday in practice, but obviously not that

Great defensive coach my arse

I think in the PHX games, our 3 11+mill guards pressured the frick out of 3 point shooters until they drove, expecting AD and our quickfooted Cs to block the frick out of them. What resulted was bledsoe and their big men getting the easiest shots on the floor and guards switching off and getting confused in transition D which led to a lot of 3s.
