Not necessarily. Stiemsma seemed to fare well against fellow lumberers Gasol and Kaman. And Amundson was already in Los Angeles staying in shape plus he played for the team at the end of last season, so he could suit up and get minutes tonight.

This is a good towards the end of bench signing. He's not great, but he's a lot better than Lance Thomas IMO.

This says more about Reke not being available than anything having to do with Lance Thomas to me.
Amundson was signed to fill the Thomas void. Going to suck if Childress comes off the bench and Rivers starts racking up more DNP-CDs again. However, it's nice to have some safety valve at the 3 if we don't want Morrow playing there.

I'd hope we aren't paying him much more than the vet minimum. I think he's still getting his amnesty payout from Phoenix.
