shite happens and you lose games you aren't expected to lose.
Happens a lot more when you have a young team and lack the proper leadership. We miss having elite upperclassmen on D that can improve the level of play around him. If any one of Minter, Reid, or Mingo/Logan would have stayed, our D would look light years better. You can't blame them for leaving, we just got hit hard by a bunch of Juniors that were ready to play at the next level. Simon and Montgomery, who both could have gone higher given another year, would have been huge helps this year as well.

quote:Nobody on here knows the answer to this. We don't know yet what we have in Jennings, but he'll have a year under his belt which BH won't have. We don't know how good Jennings is but we know he beat out Rivers in the spring, so does that show how good AJ is or how bad Rivers is? I think it's very unlikely that BH comes in a takes the starting job, but I really hope he can come in and at least push AJ in the spring. Can be beneficial for both of them. Making each of them better. Can't wait to get this kid on campus. His confidence to me is what sets him apart. I used to hate when people would talk about swagger but from watching this year, we're missing that. Under Miles we've always had that one or two players that would show more emotion and it would seem tp lift up his teammates. Haven't seen that from anyone this year. We get the JH "bull" in zone celebrations but that would only lift up himself.
Does he threaten AJ for QB1?

Ole Miss always plays LSU hard. It's the players & certain group of fans who overlook them year after year. Honestly, OM should have beat LSU in '12. Thankfully the coaches didn't try to teach him some lifelong lesson by benching him that game.
Werent the talking heads predicting LSU to lose 4, slating us as under dogs to OM, bama, aTm, and UGA?

Jennings looked very good, especially early in the spring game. And no Rivers is not a bad qb. IMHO, he actually looked better than AJ in that game, but he did have a lot more time in the system. I'd say that the coaches are enamored with the running/escapability aspect of AJ versus what Rivers brings to the table. Rivers arm was decent although he has a strange delivery. Rettig is the one I'm curious about, that cat has a fricking cannon although it was obvious he needed a lot of schooling on the scheme and type of O LSU runs. Just my two cents.

To all you still complaining about the loss to Ole Miss please give the name of any other high school, college or pro football team you follow who won every single game they were a favorite in.

Elite coaches and programs don't lose that game.
Yes they do, it happens. Teams lose games they shouldn't. One coach lost to UAB AND ULM. And he is considered the greatest CFB coach alive.
