Any JUCO guys out there to help us shore up the defense?

I know that LSU has started to call Edmund Boateng. Not sure how serious they are for him, but he's a good player. 247 Profile

He could play DE or DT.

Boateng is too small to lay dt. We have enough de's from last two years if they pan out.

He's been over 270 this year. It's not like you need to be 300lbs to be an effective DT. McDowell got an offer for DT at 250.

Didn't realize he was 270. McDowell will be 270 or more when Moffitt gets done with him.

It depends on where you play. In the SEC I wouldn't want a 270lb guy playing the nose guard position or a 1 technique. They would get blown off the ball. At 270lbs a 3 or 5 technique would be ok.

What's this guy's story anyway? Would he eventually take over for Moffitt, or would he stay at Bama? From NOLA, two-time grad of LSU, but been with Saban a while. Anyone?
