Carville: 'Fundamental' problems with Obama

Democratic strategist James Carville warned Monday to “stop putting the nails in the coffin” for the Obama presidency.

“I think we can stop putting the nails in the coffin here. We can admit that there’s some real, deep, fundamental problems with this president. But I think we’re throwing the dirt here too soon,” Carville said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.”

“I don’t think that the rollout has been a disaster. It’s been another joke,” he added.

Yep. He's committed.

I hope they put Hillary on that stage against Cruz; she won't get the softy treatment from him.

You know Odumbo is really bad when a demo crackpot like Carville talks about the Odumbo's fundamental problems on MSNBC.

It's a very, very tricky situation to gain distance from Barry without kissing the big black turnout goodbye. Even people who like Hillary don't find her likeable.

Granted I'm relatively young, but I've always thought Carville was pretty level-headed.

I like him, despite our differing political viewpoints, but level-headed is a stretch. He is a spin master. I really enjoy that he and his wife are on opposite ends of the political spectrum. I would love to be a fly on the wall in their kitchen.

I usually don't agree with his views, but he is pretty consistent and will call out the party when his convictions lead him to disagree. I respect the hell out of that, especially for a Democrat. You can go against the party as a Republican; for a Democrat, it's much less common.

It's better for business this way. Effectively doubles their market opportunity.

That's what I meant by 'level-headed'. He is a Democratic political operative, so there will be some level of disagreement, but I do respect the way he handles himself.

The man loves Louisiana.

I don't know if there is a bigger advocate for our state.

re: Carville: 'Fundamental' problems with Obama

The problem with Obama is that he has never been apart of running the government or built the type of relationships with those that have or do. There is no LBJ or FDR in the man.

LBJ is a better president by miles over Obama. Clinton in a historical terms will always be ranked higher than Obama.

Obama and Carter will be used in the same sentence for generations.
