I'm heading to ATX on Thursday and figured I'd make a slight detour and eat a late lunch in Lockhart. Should I go to Black's, Kreuz Market or Smitty's??

I really don't care for Kreutz

Chisolm Trail and Black's were my favorites there

ATX = Austin, TX

I might stop and get a link and some brisket at all 3 and report back. I'll be back there in a year. I'm making the F1 race an annual event. I've heard good things about City Market too.

This...

Luling City Market is very good, brisket and ribs are some of the best around.

Luling City Market is the best I've had, but have never had the patience for Franklins.

MAKE SURE YOU GO TO CITY MARKET AND NOT "LULING BBQ" ACROSS THE STREET. I feel sorry for the poor saps that drive out there and make that error.

There's no like going to the back smoke room and ordering your meat by the pound and receiving your change in 1/2 Dollar coins
