(The Doors)

(John Lennon & Frank Zappa)

Per its career, no venue beats Fillmore East in terms of legendary performances. Despite only being open from 1968-1971, Fillmore East held some of the most revered shows of all time- many which have seen commercial releases.

Allman Brothers Band - Whipping Post

Neil Young & Crazy Horse - Cowgirl in the Sand

Jimi Hendrix - Machine Gun

Derek & the Dominos - Why Does Love Got To Be So Sad? (one of Clapton's best solos)

Miles Davis - Directions

Frank Zappa - Willie the Pimp

King Crimson - 21st Century Schizoid Man

The Grateful Dead - 9.20.70 (whole show)

Jefferson Airplane - Thing
