I called it. Any of the coaches should of called it to. Saban called a timeout for what no to be penalized for 5 yards on a punt play COMMON MAN! he calledf a time out so he could run the fake with 1 yard to go instead of 6 yards. that was the breaking point of the game!

Calling time outs at random, weird moments is not unusual for certain coaches. So perhaps this one went unnoticed?

Everyone in the stadium knew they were going to fake.

Everybody saw it coming but Miles, which didn't suprise me.

A few games back he spoke in his headset, "Is it fourth down?" The guy has no clue what is going on in the game. As a coach you have to be 2-3 plays ahead of the game, which he is clearly not

I can't defend Miles on a lot of things, but this one is not necessarily on him. LSU did not have a punt return nor a punt rush called, we had the punt safe unit on. You know, the unit that is there to protect against the fake.

It was 4th and 2, just couldn't stop them.

Yep it was a good play. Our regular front 7 was there. Kwon bit on the first guy who had it and couldn't recover when he handed it to the other.

You people are morons.

Miles and LSU saw it. Our regular defensive front 7 was on the field.

They needed one yard, they got 2 or 3 on a well conceived play.

Thats the difference though - they did it on a fourth and 1. Last year Miles ran a fake FG on a fourth and 12.

I promises myself I wouldn't post today but:

Go back and look at the tape. We were setup in our normal defense with 1 man back expecting the fake. Bama ran the play to perfection. You don't typically see a misdirection pitch on a fake. It was a great call.

Miles was probably chortling that the media would be getting on $abin for poor clock management instead of him.

They called a timeout bc Landon wasn't on the field in time. They originally had a punt called at that time. They took they timeout then Saban called for "fake aware". CJ Mosley called the fake punt on the field, it was called "Boston". I know someone on Alabamas team

Saban said in his interview that they ran the play because the regular defense was back on the field and that is what the play was practiced against.

That was when I knew in my heart we'd lose this game. Stop the fake punt and goin for a score, the entire complexion and dynamic changes. Fear of failure would settle into Saban, and that's when he makes mistakes.

The fake punt was obvious. We were talking about it out loud how obvious it was. You could see they guy checking down.
