Or in between BR and Lafayette.

Any thoughts?

Saw the place in Port Allen had an alert for no rifle shooting.

TIA

Decent 100 yard range. Not a bad drive. Used to spend a lot of time there.

I love that range. Nice setup and very little traffic.

Our camp is less than 4 miles from there. We hear gunshots all day. Deer don't run if you miss either.

I'll second the FREE gloster range. If you live on the north side of Baton Rouge it will be a shorter trip than Garys and no traffic.

Checked out the Garyville website and it doesn't have very much information. How far can you shoot? Rifles allowed? All it has is the range hours and the rates.

Not me... I paid. I have only used it once in my life and that was this spring. I didn't remember having to pay. sorry. I usually site my gun in at my place. two hour drive.

This spring I took a couple of Germans there that had never held a real gun in their life. Since it only a tad over an hour that is where we went.

But thanks for pointing out the fact that it isn't free. I had forgotten that from the spring, not trying to mislead anyone. If I was that cheap I wouldn't have even mentioned that it was free knowing it isn't.

100 yard range if I remember correctly (maybe a little more), rifle range has about 10 shooting benches and pistol range is next to it but only about 25 yards. They also will allow pistols on the rifle range which I like since I get bored only shooting 25 yards. Its a nice little place and pretty well run. Good thing is its only about 15 minutes from Pville.

Honey Island Swamp. Right off I-12 north of Slidell. Also $3.00.

Rifle range, pistol range, Skeet stations.

Well worth it.

Just messing with you. But its an easy drive and a great range. $3 fee and if you go on Fridays or Saturday, stop by Vines and get their buffet. Better than any casino buffet in the south.

If you don't mind an hour drive, check out Southern Shooting Center in Thibodaux. Nice rifle range and pistol bays.
