My son was born in NOLA, but played his high school ball in a Dallas suburb. He was in Tx Friday night attending a home game at his old high school.

David Shaw was sitting beside him in the stands. This guy wins his biggest game of the year defeating Oregon Thursday night and is in Tx 24 hours later. It's more than a full time job.

FYI - he was recruiting DE, Solomon Thomas, 6'4 - 260, the #4 DE in most rankings.

IMO, they'll play FSU for the NCG. Don't think OSU has a chance even undefeated given how good Stanford's SOS will be when it's all said and done.

Shaw has a powerhouse going but needs more receiving threats.

the luxury of playing a thursday nite game. Shaw could very well be the next great college head coach...if he isn't alrady. his demeanor and ethics, at Stanford and pertaining to ex-players, speaks volumes about who he is and what he stands for. very, very solid coach and an even better human being. JMO.

get ready...get even.

Stanford has played 2 teams that deserved to be ranked. Every other ranked team they play is just getting in or on their way out. beating the #25 team isn't an accomplishment. someon has to fill out the top 25.

Arizona State, is good. Washington, is good. UCLA, is good. Oregon, is really good.

Northwestern and Wisconsin are they only two teams OSU has played worth a flip. NW has a 5 game losing streak. They struggled with both. They'll then probably end up losing to Michigan State in the B1GCG.

That team is as untested as Baylor.

Gotta strike while you are hot. Good for Shaw to show up after his huge win.
Who knows what the major motivation was to be in the area this weekend? I wonder why he thinks he has a chance with this guy? If he's here just to recruit that one guy, then wow, he seems to be all-in on maintaining the program.

I wonder if he will be like Miles? No matter what he does, its still Harbaugh that built the program BS.

IMO,its easier to build a program than it is to maintain one, especially following a legend, but Im in the minority on this obviously.
