St. Amant had the game won in regulation. Overcame 17-3 deficit at halftime. Took lead 24-17 late, then gave up a TD with under 10 seconds. Then they lost in 5OT. I was told the final was 53-50.

Dutchtown wins a share of 5-5A with Catholic. EA and STA get nothing.

The rest of this thread is reserved for Cincinnati Bowtie to eat crow about this game and then bitch about how Benny Saia cheats and has dirty players.

There was some fishy home cooking going on at Dutchtown when they played EA, and with Boo they would've beat them regardless.

Not worried though. EA will make it further in the playoffs.

I was driving by The Pitt today around 2:45 and saw people tailgating. Good to know they got one hell of a show

Dutchtown had their worst team in a decade and EA and STA had their best team in a decade and they still can't beat them.

I have no particular allegiance to Dutchtown, but I do follow Ascension Parish football and EA and STA talked a lot of trash about how this was the year and it wasn't.

Dutchtown should have lost to EA, STA, Rummel and. McKinley and they won them all. They should have been about 5-5 and they won district instead.

Dutchtown has only been around for about a decade.

EA would've beat Dutchtown with Boo. Hell, EA would be undefeated with him.

Okay, so it's the worst Dutchtown team EVER and they are still forever-and-0 against the parish.

Nah, their earlier teams were worse. EA beat them every year in their first 6-7 years in existence.

I don't think Dutchtown is any better, seems like they're more lucky than anything. It happens.

Haha, no they're not. EA beat them the first two times they played.
Not counting a forfeit for, yep, an ineligible player.
Gotta feel for St Amant, three heartbreaking losses in a row now.

I think its 17-3 now. EA beat DTown first 2 yrs the school was open, when they were playing with a JV team. Wasn't the ineligible player the backup kicker? C'mon man, you can't claim that.

One day St. Amant will beat Dutchtown.

And dude, your student section was out of their seats waiting to storm the field with a minute left in the game. I think they have to wait a little longer now.

All St. Amant had to win district for the first time in a generation was GET A FIRST DOWN. Oh yeah, and beat Woodlawn. Woodlawn even lost to McKinley last night.

Doesn't matter Dutchtown will flop in playoffs like they normally do.

Wrong again. Dutchtown has never been 4A, but you were close, EA was 4A at that time.
