good price for a used Ruger94?

I have a buddy who got in an accident a year or so ago and is pretty hard up for money, i'm gonna sale it right back to him when he has some money. He needs the money for car insurance.
He offered me 300, probably gonna give him 400 cause i hate the fact anybody has to give up a gun due to lack of funds.
is that a fair? Don't have time to check the interwez and compare.

i told him sure, and he was down here in 10 flat
told him i would, "keep it in pawn", till he gets back on his feet
