Been wanting to get into speck hunting. Where is the best place to hunt them?. I shoot them with a rifle in my wheat fields and they never come back. I figure if I shoot them while hunting they won't come back. But I really don't know. Any Tips and advice would be nice.

Shoot them with a .22 from about 150 yards. The other ones just look around when their buddy falls.

Something tells me you won't be a successful spec hunter. Takes something you probably don't have.

I dont know about any public land speck hunting places. I know they sure are fun to hunt when you get where they want to be. Good luck

Yeah I asked the same thing a few weeks ago but got no real answers on where to go. I shoot at them with a rifle to get them out of my wheat. They never come back. I figure if I shoot them with a shotgun at a lot closer range they will still not come back.

Why don't you just set up a spread in your wheat? Obviously if they are hitting green fields it is late season as geese don't get off rice until they are about ready to start migrating back North.
