I know its a seafood place, so I shouldn't expect anything amazing. Has anyone had one? I'm thinking about going to the gonzales location today to pick one up (its down the street from my office and I don't want McDonalds, Burger King, Wendy's, etc.)

Please don't crucify my for my ridiculous question.

I lived across the street from the location on W Lee for 3 years and had the burger many times. I recall it always being good, but not great.

Why would you be crucified? Never had it, but I'm sure it'll be okay, and better than McD, BK, and Wendys.

I've had a burger at the Lee location. Good burger but not "great". Definitely better than your regular ole fast food grease ball.

It's a burger, it'll probably be better then the other places you listed.

You are a sheep to opinion. Mike Anderson's consistently has the best oysters in town. They have, by far, the best fried shrimp in Baton Rouge.

It is cool to hate on Mike Anderson's. But they have better seafood than anyone short of Louisiana Lagniappe.

And what would a fricking douche from Kenner know about seafood in Baton Rouge? Nothing. Like R2R, you probably can't make a roux.

Expect a bar food burger for what you will find.

True. But years ago I used to like their coleslaw, of all things. We'd buy a bunch of it to bring home for parties.

csb

And I have no doubt that their burger is better than the fast food franchise crap.

I did attend LSU, sorry for hurting your feelings Mike Jr.

I don't doubt your bona fides when it comes to sticking up for crappy food. You're the man!

VOR- Coleslaw review needed... I prefer a vinegar base not mayo.

being known for seafood shouldn't be a reason to immediately write off a place's burgers.

case in point: the best thing at Copeland's is their croissant burger
