When will the Advocate start having an editor read Matthew Harris' articles?

He barely writes in English. Happens every day.

These are stand alone paragraphs:

quote:

For Mickey, who finished with 12 points 6-of-10 shooting to go with six rebounds and eight blocks, including a simple fastbreak where he coasted up the middle of floor and snagged a behind-the-back pass from Quarterman.

quote:

But LSU did what fellow SEC programs in Arkansas, Missouri and Alabama bungled in achieving by not letting the Gold Rush linger within single digits past the game’s first 10 minutes.

Judging from your thread subject line, you needed an editor too.

Your point is valid, however, his writing is sub-par.

That's fricking ridiculous. Evidently, in the Advocate's eyes, trolling > grammar

He's given a pass.

A pass for fricking up the most formulaic thing a journalist does?

I see he put his thesaurus away for that article and went with simple words.

If par is a 2nd grade level, I agree.

Those two examples are embarrassingly poor.
