This story might become the greatest 30 for 30 of all time.

I bet they zoom in on his heart broken eyes when he listens to voicemail and gets called half N and then covers mouth when the defecation threat happens

What if I told you the 2013 Tampa Bay Buccaneers weren't the most fricked up franchise in Florida?

The best part is that the frickin idiot GM told the player's agent to punch incognito. Not the player. He told the agent. Thank you Jeff Ireland.

I'm starting to go Team Incognito, Martins story seems to have so many holes

I'm starting to come around to your line of thinking too.

While I think Incognito obviously crossed a line, it is also becoming very evident that Martin was more susceptible (sp) to this then most of the NFL population. I think he may have overreacted to a "team" issue than I originally thought. That being said, I reserve the right to change my mind as more facts come out.

Am I the only one that suspects that the N-word is slung around quite a bit in NFL locker rooms, most often by black players?

This is the same guy that interviews potential future colleagues (Dez Bryant) by asking if his mother really is a whore.

We're obviously not dealing with a mental giant here and if that owner doesn't use this as a ready made excuse to completely clean house then he's a complete idiot as well

this

the lousy organization is rotten and has a dysfunctional GM and a weak head coach predictably resulting in a dysfunctional locker room with no leadership and no team cohesion evident on or off the field.

What if I told you callin a teammate a half N was a locker room term of endearment and affection?

It's up to said player to determine that.

At the end of the day, it'll probably come out that Incognito and Martin were spurned lovers

I'd say this is entirely possible. I think RI had a hard on for Martin, literally.

when the story first broke, it was essentially incognito vs martin. as more facts come to light, its clear that dolphins leadership(coaches/management) have taken on the role of the bad guy. to me, incognito is slightly absolved(the guy is still an animal, as his track record shows), martin is still the victim, and the dolphins are the ones that need to take most of the blame.

I agree.

I do think it's funny that all those thinking he was looking for a payday don't realize he comes from a well-educated and wealthy family. He wants to finish his degree in Ancient History and then go to Law School

They relate more to Incognito than Martin because they do not have a pedigree like Martin.

That's not everyone here, but there are a few.

Man, we live in a world that has walls. And those walls have to be guarded by men with an edge. Who's gonna do it? You? You, DeMaurice Smith? I have a greater responsibility than you can possibly fathom. You weep for Jonathan Martin and you fine the players. You have that luxury. You have the luxury of not knowing what I know: that Martin's abadonment, while tragic, probably saved lives. And my existence, while grotesque and incomprehensible to you, saves lives...You don't want the truth. Because deep down, in places you don't talk about at parties, you want me on that wall. You need me on that wall.
We use words like honor, code, loyalty...we use these words as the backbone to a life spent defending something. You use 'em as a punchline. I have neither the time nor the inclination to explain myself to a man who rises and sleeps under the blanket of the very game I provide, then questions the manner in which I provide it! I'd rather you just said thank you and went on your way. Otherwise, I suggest you put on some shoulder pads and stand in the way of a defensive lineman. Either way, I don't give a damn what you think you're entitled to!

Roger Goodell: Did you order the code red?

Jeff Ireland: (quietly) I did the job you sent me to do.

Roger Goodell: Did you order the code red?

Jeff Ireland: You're goddamn right I did!!

Obviously, you have never been in a management position over employees.

...your typical management position isn't like a NFL locker room. Most fans are of the assumption that physical altercations are not common, but they are. It is very possible Martin was instructed to stand-up for himself in a physical way...particularly if this "hazing" was being delivered in an effort, albeit misguided, to toughen him up.
