You need to watch this video. I've been feeling not so good about our chances this weekend... but then I re-watched this video.

I don't think anyone is worried about Mett and the offense. It's the defense this year that is lacking. I understand that Mett blew the first half against Ole Miss, but ultimately he put us back in a situation to win the game and our defense blew it (and was terrible in the first half.)
If we can smack McCarron in the mouth, just get one decleater on him early, I think he will begin to make mistakes and fear will creep in. wont be surprised if he runs back to Mommy to feed:

Yes this is the key to the game and we will know early if they do this or they don't. If they don't the rest should be clear. If they do we got a shot.

I really like that the pressure is completely off of LSU in this game.

I agree with you Murple.
My point was more along the lines that if Mett plays like he can, and like he has against Bama, we will have a chance for victory.
And like others have said, the pressure is all on Bama. Which will give our D some help, IMHO.

No I could not disagree with this more. Mett has had two really bad games he can't afford a third. If we have a repeat of 1/9 or worse .... Yeah there is a ton of pressure.

I think the offense is going to have to put up about 40 and the defense will have to come up with several turnovers for us to squeak by in a shootout.

That video only made me feel worse. Had the defense held on for the win, it's no telling what the Tigers may have accomplished.
This year, a lesser LSU defense will be playing a lesser Bama offense. Both lost multiple starters to the NFL. However, the Bama offense seems to have reloaded and learned a lot more than the LSU defense.

The air was just sucked out of the fan base after last year's debacle in TS. I catch myself wondering time after time what would have been or should have been if we had won.

Less decided we needed a trick play not because we needed one but because he had become famous for them and nicky was waiting because he knew Les's ego would do something like that. That is why we lost that game.
