I was listening to Triad by Tool this morning and it got me wondering what other good rock instrumentals are out there.

Only other one I can think of that I like is Vampires by Godsmack.

What are some others?

'Rumble' by Link Wray. So badass, it was banned from AM radio.

it was late 1974, I was a freshman in HS at the time. We went to a Kansas concert that supposedly had some group with a bad-arse guitar player opening for them. They opened with this song, and my life was changed forever...(not really, but I like that line)

Ted Nugent's Amboy Dukes - Hibernation

I bought Tooth, Fang and Claw the next day...

Live Version - 1976

He opened some dates for Seger's Live Bullet tour around that time as well.

Look no further OP, especially if you're digging that post-rock (Tool'ish) sound.

Russian Circles - "Geneva"

and

Pelican - "Lathe Biosas"
