It's a shame he doesn't have more quality frontcourt players around him.

Anthony Davis is the only kind of player Monty seems to "excel" coaching. Wind him up and go.

He sure seemed to help Vasquez, Aminu, Roberts, and Smith.

He had a good game last night despite Monty. The set plays looked terrible. There has to be a better way to let him work. The spacing was terrible last night.

Do you really believe he "helped" any of those guys?

Vasquez is a slow point guard but solid enough to work off screens and run an offense. That's his game, and he had to play heavy minutes last year because there was no other option at the position.

Aminu is the same player he has always been. He has "improved" as a shooter at a glacial pace. Nice player.

Roberts came over from Europe ready-made combo guard as a guy who can shoot. Period.

Smith just needed playing time. He got it here to develop with a bad team.

The reality is, the team runs crap sets offensively and never improves in rotations or switches on D no matter what personnel Monty is given.

Fine. We'll compromise. Let Monty stay on since you like him. Just keep coaching decisions to someone else, and let Monty "develop" the Aminu's and Robert's of the league.

I'm just gonna argue the fact that monty "developing" AD is a joke. The guy is an athlete who would have been where he is at this point with or without monty.

If you put him with a coach like popavich, I guarantee you he'd have a hall of fame career. Monty is a big issue.

You girls are so ridiculous. It is summarily false that Monty has never helped develop young players. This is in no way a statement of his overall coaching or whether I want him here next year.

To say he cannot develop young players is wrong and stupid. Feel free to be wrong and stupid. It's your prerogative.

Are you serious? He's on a first ballot HOF trajectory right now under Monty.

I'm not even gonna trip on the developing argument anymore. I don't agree that he does, but whatever. My thing is he's not a fricking head coach. He's not. He was thought of as a promising young coach. But he has done absolutely nothing in his 3+ years here. And I've been saying this for the past 2 years.
