read my comment right after that.. i said "I DON't THINK SO" .. or can you not read?

why does lsu need to negatively recruit? Do Frank Wilson, Chavis, Haley, Miles all strike you as people that would do that on a routine basis...

the answer is no ... don't be a jackass.. just read my full comment

I don't doubt that my beloved tigers do it,

I just think that it is not daily occurrence.
I could list a thousand reasons why we shouldn't but I would still be speculating like we all are now.

I judge my stance based off what recruits have said when they've committed to the tigers.
"Felt like home", "felt like family", "had a chance to succeed and get to the nfl", --- doesn't strike me as a group of recruiters that sell recruits on the undoing of a school

Well of course it would be a major factor, if the recruit felt that either of those secenarios were actually going to happen. I am sure that Bama recruiter have down played and flat out denied both of these as being true. Most recruits are heavily influeded by the recruiting school and tend to believe what they are told. So if true yes, but in reality doubt bama recruits believe either so the answer is no.

1) saban to texas has legs but who knows if it will come to fruition. we will have the answer well before NSD.

2) there will be no investigation.

perhaps i should have clarified

99% of the time, I dont think lsu negatively recruits... at least for the guys they sign

1% of the time - they do

so the vast majority of the time, I don't think they do but since they have before, I am sure, then you can't say they dont

and in that specific scenario as I stated in my first post... I don't think lsu uses those espn-driven rumors to recruit players or dissuade them from going to places

For the NCAA to retain credibility, there needs to at least be an investigation. Reeks of Reggie Bush. USC would blow their shite if the NCAA turns a blind eye.

The NCAA is undermanned and scared shitless of the change that's coming. Cracking down on players getting less than what they will probably be getting legally within the next decade paints them as the greedy old regime. They had JFF on fricking video and lack of subpoena combined with the fact he would be punished for selling something that the NCAA has no real right to own resulted in the same punishment Bama will get if any.

so basically the answer is that it is a good bet to just cheat and win and make everyone a lot of money (except the players).

Prettymuch. As a program you have to be borderline retarded to get a major penalty from the NCAA right now. Absolute worst case scenario they get the same scholarship reduction we got for McCarthy, but I wouldn't even hold my breath on that.
