I figurd with some zones opening this weekend and others following it would be a good time to discuss everything we do the night before.
-The day before I make sure to have the boat ready and loaded. Strapped down and ready to go that morning.
-All batteries charged up including mojo batteries.
-Have the coffee pot set up to brew before I get up.
-Gun cleaned and oiled up and in the truck so I don't forget it.
-Go through blind bag make sure I have at least two lights and enough ammo.
-Set alarm clock even though I will probably be up most of the night.
-The last thing I do is watch Duck Commander #13: Fear the Beard. For some reason it is my favorite and kind of tradition to watch now before the season opens.
What does everyone else do? I'm bored and just ready to get the season started!

I have been blowing the same P.S Olt for many years now but it always seems I take it apart and "tune" on it all night until it is time to leave the camp headed for the blind. My dog feeds off my energy and she is normally doing back flips by the time we get ready to leave.

I usually sit in my garage and fondle all of my gear as if I have never seen it before.

- Clean and wipe down gun
- Fresh batteries in the weasel ball decoy
- Fashion jerk string so I am not untying a neverending knot in the dark.
- Put waders or boots on boot dryer so they are warm in the morning
- Make sure all of my 4 flashlights are in good order
- Go through shells and shift them around
- Unneccesary cutting of reeds and corks
-Make sure I have enough snuff to get me through the morning

Put the gear in my truck and leave gun inside with my clothes layed out. Watch Cops until I fall asleep for an hour, wake up, try to shite with no luck and grab diet mt dews then head out.

If you own a whaler – you do your checklist at the launch just before you put your shiny white f’n whaler in the water and back up the launch for 15+ min. All but came to blows w/ a couyon doing this at Berwick back in the day. Whaler owner looked at the po’d coonasses and me and realized it was time to move – as Ron White says – I’m not sure how many of them it would take to kick my arse but I know how many they used

After countless pairs of underwear ruined, this year I am making it a point to bring TP with me on every trip.

I always get sneak attack by the bubble gut, thankfully Salmon was a responsible hunter this teal season and had some TP to lend

Checklist is already done, but it is nothing special.

Now just have to make sure the pig is on early enough on Friday so it will be ready for supper.

I get real drunk real early so I can sleep the night before.

As long as I have my gun and some shells and decoys, opening weekend is a breeze.

Pulled my calls off the bedroom wall this morning. Everything other than beer and food is sitting by front door waiting to be loaded up tomorrow. Might make me one of those weasel ball decoys tonight. Which reminds me half my jerk string cord got caught in prop last day of season.
