For those that have one, where do you put your federal duck stamp? keep it separate? Stick it to the back each year and peel off after the season?

Pretty much, but I think I have a layer about 10 stamps deep at this point. Some just will not come off.

I have a quick but different question.

My parents want to buy me a lifetime license for college graduation. I know on the application you have to sign that you want your state to be your domicile residence. I really don't see myself living here for the rest of my life, but that doesn't mean I'm leaving anytime soon.

Does anyone own a lifetime license in a state they don't currently reside?

Yes. I have LA lifetime license and live in MS. Will be getting MS lifetime license soon too to make sure I have it before I move again if I do.

Have you ever been checked or questioned by anyone in Louisiana when you show them a LA lifetime license but a MS drivers license?

The license is good even after you change your domicile.

And I put mine on the paper with the HIP permit

Good to hear. Just didn't know how the conversation went with a game warden if I posses a Kansas lifetime license and show a Louisiana or other state DL.

The potential for moving away is one of the big reasons for buying a lifetime license IMO. So yes I think that is very normal. I hunt with quite a few people that have LA lifetime licenses but live in other states.

Also how often are you checked and required to show your DL when showing a hunting license, I can't think of a time for me. Of course they easily could.

I bought a lifetime a year ago because I knew I was moving out of state for a few years for work.

I got some on back of LL, Hunter Ed and Bow hunter Ed cards. I just cut them out now and stick them in with the rest of my crap.

I usually cut a note card to the same size as the liscense and stick the stamps to that.

I'm never checked deer hunting, but I usually get checked once a year duck hunting as most my waterfowl hunting is on public land at places like Cheyenne Bottoms, Quivira, etc. These places pull people in from all over the country, so getting checked is unavoidable.

I cut it out from the card it comes on and put it in a small ziploc bag thing that they used to give out with licenses. It sits back to back with my lifetime license in my wallet.

I stick it to the back of the information part you get when they print deer tags, ect. Then you sign it across the stamp and on to the paper.

I used to put it on the back of my lifetime card, but I got checked and greenjeans told me to start doing it like I stated above.
