Eric Church might be as bipolar as country artists come. He has some really good songs, but then comes out with some absolute shite too. It's hard to guess what he's going to do next.

Didn't even realize he had a song with Aldean.

Sinners Like Me, These Boots, Those I've Loved, Now That I Know Better, and his best, Lightning, are all great songs. Then I hear his stuff that gets played on the radio and want to gag at times.

Sounds like it could be a good tune.

thankfully the song with Aldean was actually Aldean's song.

To this day, the best country concert (or any concert for that matter) ive been to was Eric Church at the Texas Club. I think it was maybe in 09?

Yep. Dichotomy of the country music world today. As an artist, do you make music for your own self, toiling away in Clubs 200 nights / year ... or do you write / record some formula-pop-Nashville stuff, thereby becoming rich and popular?

Personally, I can't fault an artist for singing / recoding crap if doing so makes them financially independent.
