Anyone going? I won't be, but I have the virtual ticket. I'm very much ready for the WoW X5 reveal.

same here - very interested to see what they are doing for the next Xpac.

Yeah, I'm done with wow, after 2 fail expansions in a row. Panda completely jumped the shark no less.
I actually canceled my already dormant sub a couple months ago. It had been continuously up since before the naxx content patch..... In vanilla.

I want to see Titan and more of their MOBA.

What makes the last 2 expansions a failure?

i really enjoyed wow and played the hell out of it for a while, but once blizzard started the never ending quest of balancing classes pve and pvp it wasn't fun. every time you log in you can pwn and new class and get pwned by a new class.
all the skill and even all the dedication to farming of resistance gear was removed so any average joe could play end game. raiding became nothing more than a hassle.
quit for a while and played wotlk and enjoyed it, cata sucked balls and quit shortly after capping, same with pandas and hevent looked back.
the first mmorpg i started playing was asheron's call and i enjoyed it but every week was another nerf and i'd have to rebuild my char. it got frustrating and i quit and the end of wow felt the same way.

I loved having FR as the only stat on my armor for the Ragnaros fight.

i wouldn't call them a failure, but the game has taken a very drastic turn from what it originally was.
i appreciated the huge raids full of people that spent hours farming fire resist for MC/naxx/aq/ssc, etc. it was an accomplishment when everyone worked together and did some tough content.
what it feels like now is being in a raid with someone who pvpd for a week to get a gladiator bow and spams arcane shot until his pet wipes the raid
i really enjoyed tanking and remember being stressed out because it took skill and was a lot of responsibility but the aoe tanking and not using cc and just spamming dps was not fun.

Yeah man, 10 man "raids" are some bullshite.

call me a nerd but i feel like the earthquake that went off from the cheering when we downed rag was more than the 1988 auburn game.

sometimes finding 50 was frustrating, but on fights like majordomo when everything went to shite and still being able to pull it off because you had GOOD raiders was fun.
25 wasn't bad and i enjoyed things like kara.
the other 10 mans just felt like you spray deeps and pray

Mists was actually pretty damn solid.
Posted on 11/5/13 at 12:06 pm to GeauxWarTigers
yikes. i thought mists was the worst one
i liked the scenery but when they revamped the quest lines to be completely and utterly linear it took the decision making out of it.
i used to keep scrolling quest text on so i could read it and figure out what to do, but in mists all i did was accept and not read and just go to where ever my mini map says.

I thought questing in Mists was a step back in the right direction after the straight hallway quest progression that was Cataclysm.

The linear quest progression of cata actually killed the game for me. I have a main of course but I was always leveling alts.

I enjoyed mists too. Cataclysm made me quit for a while but a friend talked me into playing when mists released. I thought it would be dumb since it was kung fu panda but the questing was a nice surprise.

I still think LFR and LFG killed the game. Being accepted in a guild to try challenging content with a bunch of other people made the game great.
Now they throw loot at you like you actually deserve it.
Not to mention the player base is getting OLDER with the game not YOUNGER and blizz keeps dumbing it down... which is the opposite of what I think they should be doing.

Yah, they do.. But since they have done this, they'll never take it away.
I've played some on a few private servers and that shite is pretty fun, you just have to find one with a good population.. For me, I need there to be a good amount of people on the server.

From what I've seen the new expansion is going to be Warlords of Draenor

I used to 3 box MC before I quit. Did Ony too until they changed it.
