Is there a spot worth stopping in Deridder for lunch?

ETA Thai Basil was delicious. Stayed pretty safe with an order of veggie egg rolls and some Golden Noodles w/ chicken. I would highly recommend this place if you're in the area.

I'm pretty sure I read about a Thai restaurant there that's supposed to be good. I've never been, though.

I was going to make a smart assed comment until I saw it was you.

I got nothing for you. Sorry.

Can't promise on the quality since I've never been, but some guy who used to write a blog on food in that area used to mention it. That one and the one in Leesville.

You have Lake Charles to your South and Leesville to your North...those are your 2 best bets...Deridder? GPS not working?

There used to be a place called Double D's Steakhouse. I haven't been there in 5 years or so, so I don't know if it's still around.

Ever seen a fat Thaiwanese? Try Saigon Noodles in Lafayette if your interested in Thai food. Very legit and affordable

Oh I know it's good and cheap. I like a few places in Laffy and around Louisiana that I've found. Just never really questioned it's nutritional facts.

It's obviously high in carbs but not too high in fat unless you order fried stuff. There's plenty of healthy options on any Thai menu.
