LINK

It wont prevent the dozens of "omg its sold out" or the "how dare they charge so much" or "why cant i buy a 1 day ticket for like $100" threads next october but.... well...

$99 GA presale starts today. already bought tickets for next year. if theres only 1 headliner and a few undercard bands i want to see (which should be pretty easy to accomplish) its a good value - if i want to see a lot of the lineup its a GREAT value.

Until it turns into a worthwhile festival, I'm not investing a dime into it

$99 for Moon Taxi, Quintron and Miss Pussycat, Bassnectar, The Cure, Pearl Jam, NIN, Calvin Harris, Big Gigantic, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, Cults, Shovels & Rope, and He's My Brother She's My Sister is not that ridiculous. Besides, you could always sell it and get you're money back if you don't like the line-up. The $99 was worth it for NIN alone to me.

agreed - i figure even if they absolutely ruin the 2014 lineup, i can get face value back when tickets are $200+. i did the $99 this year and EASILY got my moneys worth with PJ and NIN, yet alone all the others i stopped in to see along the way.

and with it that cheap, i felt no obligation to stay or go early or do anything for the sake of getting my moneys worth.

We were on the list plus one for Saturday... wish they'd have been actual tickets... Nothing I wanted to see and never heard of over half the bands...

If it was for Sunday, I'd have gone out just for The Cure... would have really liked to see that..

Last time I bought tickets to voodoo, they were like $75 presale. I have a hard time paying $99 for a presale after not buying them this year and being happy I didn't.

fair enough - i went through and bought one at lunch, and forgot the fees were THAT high last year. still, a good deal and ill be annoyed when people are posting complaining about the price the week leading up to it next year

That's ridiculous. You expect people (who may or may not be able to float $130) to buy this thing when the festival may turn into a total snooze fest? Outside of Nine Inch Nails and How to Destroy Angels, there was very little I would care to see. Even then, you usually get condensed sets for the bands that you do want to see.
