one of the few nice trips down memory lane from the Curley era...that team was mostly "I forgot about that guy" players.

Difference was inn 93 we were playing our 3rd team QB because Barker was out.
Sherman Williams went down on first play and Tarrant Lynch was already hobbled and couldn't go after 1st qtr.
Best two offensive players didn't play. We don't have that this season. LSU still only got 17. The next season when Barker and Williams were back we won 35-17.

I was there . My partner- big Alabama fan gave me his tickets(season ticket holder) for the game. Cold weather. I posted the Birmingham news paper all over the office. Oddly enough he never offered tickets again.

I see Anthony Marshall in this video. I used to work with him at a company that paid us $40,000/year. I couldn't find much on him in the NFL but he looked pretty good in this video. I was young in the 90's so I don't remember him. Was he good? How'd he do in the NFL?
He's a nice guy. Lazy, but nice. I enjoyed working with him.

I have the Pigs Fly t-shirt framed and hanging in the LSU room. It was a great moment and I will never forget the gumps faces as we left with our victory. They really thought the end of the world was coming.

Like the 9-6 game. The should have won that game, they just missed some easy field goals. Never mind the percentages are bad even for pro kickers at those distances.

Barker sucked.
All he did was win but that was due to the team around him.

I remember reading the Mobile Press-Register Sports column a day or so before the game when one of the beat writers (I think Tommy Hicks) said LSU would beat Bama when pigs fly. There was a lot of singing of "Stars Fell on Alabama" with its substitue words "Pigs Flew O'er Alabama." It was a great time to be a Tiger in Mobile.
