Last Summer: Would the Jets have Traded a 4th Rounder for Ingram?

Just wondering...or is this pie in the sky?

I doubt it. ivory had completely outplayed him and showed that he was capable of doing what he did yesterday.

I don't think so. Ivory had been more productive, was a restricted free agent I believe, and signed a better contract
Ingram's contract is fully guaranteed. Ivory's is mainly based on performance

For frick's sake, how many threads do we need for the same topic?
And what happens when Ingram tears us up behind a good O line like the one we faced yesterday?

Seriously, you all are acting like he was running over people. Take a look at that 50 yard run, for example. He broke one shitty arm tackle, two Saints defenders with the angle fell over each other, and he went untouched for the last 45 yards.
Ingram would have done the exact same thing on that play.

+1, Everybody comparing Ingram to Ivory. Yeah, Ivory played lights out today, but we have to give Ingram some slack here. Our offensive line sucks. None of our RBs are performing well running behind this shitty run blocking. It's been that way the entire season. The Jets' line opened some wide arse holes for Ivory to run through today. I think most of the credit for Ivory's success today should go to his offensive line.
Anytime you we have to try to trick the opposing defense defense on both 3rd and 4th and inches, you know our damn offensive line sucks

Ingram isn't as fast as Ivory

the jets do not have a good offensive line, and he's never torn it up in the past behind good offensive lines. They have one of the worst run blocking offensive lines in the league, and it is a big reason they went from back to back championship games to being terrible

Everyone of their linemen looked "all-pro" against our defense yesterday. Those were some huge as holes they gave Ivory to run through

most of their yards came on the outside. I thought we did well in the middle

There were many big holes all day just like the one where Ivory scored his TD. Their line looked all world against us.

WHeading into this game, Ivory had 74 carries for 230 yards and zero touchdowns.
He still has fewer touches and yards than some guy named Bilal Powell, who could be the worst starting RB in the NFL this side of the Saints and Atlanta.
We do not miss Chris Ivory.
