As of yesterday there was a decent amount of birds moving..... 3 kids killed their limit on one lease. Other lease showed its first signs of life.... Teal and greys were out and about.

if you talk to folks in the great white north.....

you know.. some ducks they be coming...

We had a lot of ducks yesterday.. I was just amazed with youth hunt of 25 blinds.. only 3 were being hunted...

when my kid is too old for youth weekends.. I am going to borrow kids to take...

we had one of choupique II s friends... he had a blast... his first duck hunt..

FWIW.. I hunt in Missouri. West of St Louis. We dont have any #'s yet. Talked to my buddy in Minnesota and he said that mallards were starting to push on down.

Was around Gueydan this weekend. Sat. afternoon I saw a few thousand that looked like they were moving from youth hunters moving around. Most people were not seeing much. Around that area, I either it seems that they aren't seeing anything to seeing a good many. We don't have any water as our farmer still hasn't gotten his freakin' rice out.

Not much west of new orleans either. Saw about 15, in 3 hours, and the youth hunt reports were mediocre

Saturday kids had birds. I found we had less than the week before, but I think a lot of that was due to the rain we had on Halloween. Sunday buddy said they only saw 2 teal all morning. Terrebonne Parish

There were a bunch of ducks in North Texas on Saturday. Mostly teal and wood ducks with a few gadwall. Sunday all the teal were gone. There still a bunch of woodies and just a few big ducks hanging around.

We were loaded around Ville Platte a couple weeks ago with teal, haven't been since though. Also, haven't been to my blind near Kaplan either

Looked pretty good in the SETexas marshes. Good mix of teal, grays, and widgeon. Good group of sprigs went down as well. Good opening weekend.

got mixed reports from Delacroix youth hunts, some great, some slow. Scouted some public marshes in SE La saturday and saw a few birds, nothing to get too amped for. A few grays and bluewings mostly, along with a good many snows and specks for some reason. Most were headed W/NW probably looking for rice fields elsewhere. Front later this week should help everyone.
