I have Matt Ryan, and it is clear that this season he won't be getting to many points.

I was offered:
Andrew Luck
Greg Olsen
Bell

For:
Vernon Davis
Gio

I hate to give up Vernon Davis, because he alone has won me games. But Gio has been disappointing me every other week, and I can't win with Ryan and Vick is my backup.

Should I take the trade?
Also, I am in a standard scoring league.

Matt Ryan will be fine. Not next week though.

Ryan > Luck.

Maybe with a healthy Julio and Roddy White. Without them, nope. Look at the last 2 games. Hes so used to having a freak like Julio at WR that he just throws it up to him and he comes down with it. Makes Ryan look a lot better. Without Julio, he has thrown 5 TDs in 3 games, but has 7 INTs.

And last year Ryan was only 25 points better than Luck. And that was when Luck was a rookie and Ryan had a healthy Julio, Roddy, and Tony G. And that was Matt Ryans best season of his career so far. Had his best completion percentage, yards and TDs. And it was still only 25 points better than Lucks rookie year.

You missed a game.

First week w/o Julio he threw for 3 TDs and 0 INTs.

You're basing Ryan's future projection on games @ARI and @CAR. And Ryan had a worse game VS ARI last season.

I just think it's short-sighted.

ETA: You edited and that's cool. I am not selling low on Ryan is my main point.

Yea i went back and fixed it.

And last year, when Luck was a rookie, and Ryan and a healthy Julio, Roddy, and Tony G, he was only 25 points better than a rookie Luck. And that was Matt Ryans best season of his career.

And im not selling low on Matt Ryan. Hes a good QB and still gonna be a top 15 QB. But Ryan wont finish better than Luck this year. IMO Luck is an upgrade. Not by a lot, but still an upgrade.

Well one thing is we are in a league where you can only have 3 rbs, so I have FJax, Gio, And TRich. And its hard to start Gio because he is so inconsistent.

But with Ryan, if y'all watched the game, it is just pretty clear that the lack of any run game is hurting Matt Ryan. He might have some good games still this season, but I need someone who is consistent.

And you think Bell is going to be more consistent than Gio?

I need to step back a second, what was your question? You need a QB better than Ryan (Luck, which I don't agree with) or a better RB (Bell over Gio?)

Still confused.

Yea im with you on that.

Gio > Bell.

And while I think Luck will outscore Ryan this year and is a better QB, its not like its a major upgrade.

I wouldnt do this trade.

How are you guys sayin Gio is more consistent than Leveon..maybe in PPR but not standard..him and Green Ellis's distribution is so unpredictable..

I never said he was more consistent. But hes def way more explosive. Bell will get more carries every game and will get 8-12 each game.

The question is do you want a RB that will be more consistent and get 8-12pts a week. Or do you want a guy that has the potential to go off for 25 any week. I put Gio in that same group with Chris Johnson, CJ Spiller, Sproles, etc.

Id rather have Gio over Bell. But thats just me.

But that is my problem, I need more consistent than explosive.
I mean, Bell isn't to much more consistent, but it seems that he is the clear starter, unlike Gio who half the games he looks like the 2nd string.

This might be short sighted, but I don't think down the road I will be able to count on Matt Ryan. The Falcons are asking him to win the game for them with no run game or offensive line, and it will cost him fantasy points.
