Maybe it's the 80s nostalgia but I love this show

What's great about it is that they don't care if they actually get the timing right. I just love that they cram every 80s reference in that they can, anachronism be damned!

is it really good?

I would be willing to give it a shot, but it looks like something I'd want to like, but end up not

Wife and I like it too. The brother Barry is my favorite character. He's so dumb I can't help but laugh.

Great show, but having a whole show dedicated to a kid wanting reebok pumps, when its supposed to be set in the mid-80s, is pretty bad. I really dont think they tried at all to get the timing right

I watched the pilot and while I appreciate the 80's retro, the show is decidedly unfunny.

how anyone can watch a show with that fat frick Jeff whatever playing the dad is beyond me. He just screams "IM SO FAKE MAD RIGHT NOW ARGHHHH" every line of his career.

They never really say the actual year. They always say something like "the 80's or late 80's" or something like 1980-something. And the first pumps came out in '89.

But when they are making ron jaworski references, the guy is wearing a dr. j jersey and the great mouse detective is in theaters, they arent in 1989. Randall cunningham and charles barkley were the superstars in philadelphia by that time. Just seems like they could try a little harder on coming close to getting the year right, since its obvious they are trying to make other stuff realistic

I don't think the show is trying to go in chronological order. It seems like each episode is its own entity. One week they might be in '84 then the next week in '88.

The show isn't the least bit funny but if what you're saying is true then its semi retarded as well.
