That is legit on the front page of soccernet.com. Who would you rather have on your team?

Stupid comparison. They aren't at all alike.

I really like Giroud a lot and was pretty confident he'd do well at Arsenal after adjusting to the EPL's different style of play.

Some of the problems Osvaldo had from Roma media and fans initiated because and Giroud were the 2 strikers mainly rumored to move to Roma at the time and the club payed a considerably higher price for Osvaldo than Giroud commanded.

(I'm intentionally ignoring the comparison to a striker as different in style as Suarez.)

Pose it properly, and someone will answer it

Their both strikers... the question isn't asking you to compare the two...

I'd take Suarez, that said Giroud has really settled in to a good player...

Some better comparisons may be who'd you take between Giroud, Higuian, Benzema, Dzeko, Costa . . .

I think anyone would take Suarez (unless his propensity for suspensions is maybe taken into account) because he can create more out of nothing than these more typical #9 strikers.

yeah, but Arsenal and LFC are playing tomorrow... I'm guessing that is why the question is being asked... also, since AW tried to buy Luis this summer, to lead his line...

Tougher question which would probably have a wider array of answers...

I'd go with Costa on current form... Although, I think Benzema has the most natural talent of those...

Suarez is easily and obviously better at soccer but I'd rather have anyone my team over Suarez.

I think a better set of questions would be

Giroud or Sturridge?

Ozil or Suarez?

Maybe... but if you look at it in the sense that Arsene wanted to but Suarez, seemingly to start in front of Giroud... the question is ok, although I dont know many who'd pick OG.

I'd still pick the LFC pair in your question, though Ozil/Suarez if it could be any two..

Suarez, because Giroud is pretty damn average.

I kind of agree. Costa may end up being as good as his start of this season but I'd wait to see more.

Benzema may end up being a title deciding buy for someone if Real sell him.

Dzeko is the curious case for me. I end up reading a ton of people talking about him since Roma forums are full of Bosnians due to Pjanic. I usually defended Mancini a bit in the vehement attacks playing him consistently incited (even though I think he's an extremely talented striker and elite finisher). It's been perhaps more telling that Pelligrini seems more and more to favor Negredo just like Mancini favored Tevez.
Still think Dzeko would be near the lead of goals scored if he played all the time but the question of his build-up/all around play surrounded by other elite attackers has only been emphasized this year.

Giroud is a pretty good target striker. His buildup play is really good, and some of the flicks he pulls off are awesome. He's the player Bendnter wishes he could be.
