We all saw Matt Flynn shatter records in one game over there and have a great game in another with a combined total of ABOUT 1000 yards passing and 10 TDs in TWO games...on pace for a measly 8000 yard 80 TD type season.

Now the dude can barely hold on to a third stringer job...everywhere he goes on three other teams.

Does this raise the question of how successful Rogers would be at a place like Buffalo? Is he in the same league as Manning who would be great anyway as he calls the offense.

We saw the same issue with Matt Cassell coming in and doing extremely well with the patriots a while back only to suck later.

By stupid logic like this, everyone is a system player and not actually good at sports.

Not quite as much as Brees is.

How is this stupid logic? Some players are greater than the system, some systems are greater than the player.

Not an insult. It's a fact. That's why I'm asking.

I like A-A-Ron for what it's worth.

FWIW I think Flynn's and Cassel's success was largely due to other teams not preparing for them. Element of surprise, you know? As soon as teams have enough film on a player to form a game-plan, talent seems to make the difference.

I'm not saying that coaching and the rest of the team's talent doesn't play a big part in someone's success, but if you watch Rodgers make certain throws it's easy to see he is one of the best in the biz.

Matt Flynn is a mediocre QB is the better explanatation. Even mediocre QBs are capable of having a great game once in a while

No QB in the history of the NFL has been a "system" qp.

You're pretty stupid.

If Rodgers was throwing to Welker, Thomas, Decker, and Other Thomas, he'd be dominating more than Manning.
