Not talking about entertainment value. Talking about how the NFL is constantly tweaking the rules, whereas Baseball has virtually the same rules of play for over 100 years.

People may not like the new rules in the NFL, but have you seen some of the active players??? NFL Players nowadays are borderline super humans, without some of these rules there would be players getting knocked out cold left and right.
Personally, I don't like the new rules from a spectator's point of view, but I understand how very necessary they are.

I would rather watch intermuttal flag football on the Jefferson Pilot Network than sit behind home plate of game seven of the world series.
