This defense needs to have more of a mean streak
If I were les this whole upcoming week I would show them highlight clips of past teams that played alabama. Show clips of laron landry safety blitz on the qb, drake nevis big sack fumble, chad jones sack fumble, patrick peterson interceptions, steven ridley running the ball right at them. These past tigers didnt fear alabama. They set the tone for these games and brought it to them. They had a whole different attitude and swagger about them. These last few lsu teams seam fearful of the stature of bama. Im ready to see some serious attitudes this week

Please les get these kids fired up

I agree...Defense needs to come in with a chip. No intensity all year.Step it up a couple of notches.

How many Zimas have you had this evening bruh?

jk

Our D needs to set up big plays - picks, tackles for loss (which I think is very possible with our speed) especially on AJM and that will fire up everyone. We always seem to get out of our funk when big plays on defense happen.

Les needs to mandate that all players walk around campus next week with Pantera's "Walk" on repeat on their earbuds/phones.

If any student gives a player lip, then players should be instructed to slap them across the face without hesitation.

When has Les's not his player's ready to play, he has the best record in LSU history.

I would feel better if they are big plays on 3rd and 4th down.

What miles should do is make them watch film from that god forsaken day over and over until they are tired of seeing it. Remember last year, when Alabama fans got metts number and texted him ? That got him fired up and he had an amazing game. He even made a cell phone gesture to the crowd, Get em mad les.

I see where you are trying to go with this, but we do not have the same type of defensive personnel this year. We do not have a patrick peterson, laron landry, chad jones, or drake nevis this year. These boys we have now need to find their own. If they cant get up for the BAMA game then I do not know what will wake these kids up. I got it, we will not play for a national championship this year, but to be the team that blemishes Bama's record this year is still something special.

I don't recall LSU players ever fearing the "stature" of Bama. In fact, they had Bama beat last year. Played them mano a mano. In the BSC championship game, the defense played as well as Bama's defense. The offense never made any adjustments to a losing game plan. The coaches have tended to let the players down in the Bama series, including last year.

This year there appears to be a talent disparity on defense for the first time I can remember, which will put a larger burden on the coaches' shoulders to win this game. Let's hope they come through this time. They owe the players one. I believe we have the coaches to do so if Les will trust them and stop playing to not lose.

Seriously, WTF does this really mean when "Coach So n So "did not" have his team ready? It isn't like a coach goes into practice saying make shitty tackles, and don't play smart, and hey QB--I want you to make some really foolish ill advised throw.

Football is a game of inches, and sometimes the better team is a step off and the lesser team wins. It has happened before and will most certainly happen again.

And the fact that these 4 games are about the extent of the list over a 9 year stretch--demonstrates the exact opposite of the point your were attempting to make.

He gave you valid examples of games when the team was ill-prepared....but by all means, focus on your precious stats because everyone knows that they are the most important aspect of the game....frik the final score right???

If the NCAA is pissed that 18 year old recruits have sex with hot slutty college chicks during an official visit then I'd think they would have a field day with this.
