I like that Bama won the game but can't remember it fondly due Dennis "Hold the Rope" Franchione ...frick him in the eye socket.

Was the first game in a 30+ year timespan that LSU beat Bama in Baton Rouge. LSU was jinxed at home vs Bama until Saban broke that curse. The next game in BR 2002 , however, was the most lopsided LSU loss vs Bama 31-0.
Then LSU went on a 5 game win streak until Saban led Bama to a victory, in Baton Rouge of course
Pre-McClendon LSU was 5-6-2 against Bama, relatively even against them. Then he comes and LSU sucks it up going 2-14...Dietzel, Archer, Hallman, Dinardo go 6-13-1, Saban/Miles have gone 9-5.

The worst for me was Alexander running behind Samuels all day with LSU unable to stop him.

If this thread were made by anyone but Chicken, the OP would be getting so much shite right now and be told to "gtfo, gfy, etc."
Exactly. The kiss arse is strong in this thread.
Stats about which team won what games between 82 and now at what venue are meaningless. IF we prep well and bring our A game next weekend we will stay toe to toe with Bama. Anything less and we'll need a Bama meltdown to win.

Chicken - spreading the PosiTigah message since 2003.

Troy was the worst. And we won.
I stayed the whole time and disagree. The weather sucked really bad, but it was pretty fun to watch the comeback. I would definitely take that over the '02 Bama anyday.

weren't some of those wins forfeited by BAMA? If so the total needs to be adjusted, LSU might have the better record overall.
Nope. The seasons in which wins were vacated were '05, '06 and '07.

Interesting that around 1982 was about the time the NCAA was cracking down on paying players. Funny how once we were all playing on an even playing field the gumps started losing to Tennessee Auburn and LSU on a regularly basis. 1982 is a pretty good starting point.
Of course DJ Fluker and Hee Haw Clinton Dix would disagree......
