Vanity Fair- "You Cannot Keep Your Health Plan If Your Health Plan Is Terrible".

LINK

quote:

When President Obama said that the Affordable Care Act would permit Americans who enjoy their current health-care plan to keep it, he did not mean Americans with terrible health-care plans which they somehow enjoy. Currently, “a major cross-section of previously insured Americans are finding out that their plans are changing to conform with Obamacare even though the president promised they wouldn’t,” Politico reports. This is both Obama’s fault—for not explaining the nuances of his plan well enough and frequently enough—and the general public’s fault—for failing to grasp nuance during the entirety of the Republic’s 237-year existence.

Get that? It's your fault that you picked out a plan you can afford. Therefore, because you chose poorly, we can take it from you. Hope and change- .

What the fricking frick? Between this, Valeri Jarrett's ridiculousness on Twitter, and Dick Durbin leaving a lie up "because of the context", I feel like I'm living in bizarro world.

I think there contribution to the article was sarcasm on the quote of jonathan Chait,

BBTAIM, the public being screwed isn't nuanced enough to grasp how Obama is helping them.

So a terrible plan is one that doesn't have pediatric care for a sterile couple in their 50's, gotcha.

This is from a quote in her own article...

quote:

For some, it’s more than that: there are people happy with the cheaper, leaner coverage they have now and don’t want to shell out for the expanded benefits. Now they have to.

Gee, what a novel concept. People have (or at least used to have) the freedom to choose a plan that worked for them for a price they were willing to pay.

Coming soon to Vanity Fair..."When the President said that Americans could keep their car under the Green Motor Vehicle Proliferation Act he did not mean Americans with terrible low fuel efficiency cars which they somehow enjoy"

If only they had explained Obamacare better then everyone would love it!

You are only now feeling this? It's *been* bizarro and you used to reply, "everybody does it, so what, Obama is not tyrannical.

Are you all the way awake now or just simply amazed at the brazen bluntness of them? Because if you realize the brazen bluntness you must see they are complete POS and there is no defending them?

Welcome to the twilight zone... maybe

THIS!!!

If I have $20k in the bank... why do I need a $5000 deductible and the high premiums that come along with it?

This is the problem with making "insurance" and medical care in general a social service. Why people would want one-size-fits-all healthcare is beyond me.

It's quite funny to see them (Libs) attempt to go on the offensive here.

Some will believe it, but most will just laugh and laugh and laugh at this feeble attempt.

This is a whole nother level of pathetic. Valerie Jarrett's attempted spin last night was pathetic in its transparency, and this is pathetic in its trying to deflect blame onto the general public.

Dick Durbin just showed what kind of partisan hack he really was/is.

Because someone else might not have $20,000 in the bank, and well, how is that fair??

I hear ya I am not stupid. I have a very high IQ especially compared to Rex. lol. That is the thing on this board-BTW- instead of debate- it is a cool cliquey thing on who the smart ones are and call people as dumb as Palin when you have nothing of value to add to the discussion...

I recall watching the progs here TRY to call Ted Cruz stupid and dumb until... they saw his resume' porn was not made-up like Obama's
