While I'm sure this is nothing but a troll attempt, I'll bite and say that I doubt Landon Collins is the lynchpin LSU is missing that would make this year's very avg. defense a top 5 group. While there may be areas where fans are justified in being critical of Les Miles, recruiting is not one of them.

The point still stands. He was the #2 ranked national recruit at the time he signed, no matter how he panned out. It was a huge pull at the time.

If his mom couldn't get him to LSU then what makes you think the recruiting staff or coaches could? Bottom line is some kinds just want to get away, some are just chasing the college ring, some look at who's the best at that time and how they can have the best chance at making the NFL.
