Hell be redshirted. Beckwith, Neal and bowers are the guys that are getting pt at de. Which isn't surprising cus just by their measurements they were obviously more ready to play against sec ots. Patterson needs to bulk up.

how much can Moffit really, without roids, do for a kid who is 6'3" 215lbs? jesus christ...that is hs lb size and I question if his frame can handle 30-40lbs without losing speed and flex. even at 250 he is still too light to take on ot's and pulling guards. Mingo proved that and I hope we don't try to force the round peg into the square hole again. if the kid is a stud athlete why not prepare him to play olb at 6'3" 235lbs? just a question.

get rested, get better, get ready...get even.

You think Mingo was proof that a guy his size couldn't play DE?

I saw Patterson play 4 years at Winnfield.
He will never play defensive end at LSU.
His best chance to play is outside linebacker,
which he played on occasion at Winnfield.

If he moves to TE, he'll be buried on the depth chart. Hopefully he works his inner Mingo, gets Moffitted and can help create some pass rush next season. He looked extremely skinny during warmups on Saturday. Taller than I expected though. Looks like a solid 6'3 or 6'4

read again....Mingo was fine as a pass rusher but he was constantly overmatched having to handle ot's and pulling guards. Mingo and Montgomery were most effective when they had Brockers inside blowing up plays.

Why must you have a signature ending to all of your responses.

The pass rush is something we need in spades cause rasco and hunter try to hard to hold the point of attack and not disengage the linemen and get penitration. And at 220 or 230 shouldn't matter hell tm7 was 185 at the most and was a great blitzer.

lb's can blitz too. at his projected top weight and playing DE he will be eaten alive by SEC olines. IMO, he is best suited to playing upright and attacking downhill.
