Legit reason to be mad? Re:Trades

To make a long story short(er):
The guy in the waiver order in front of me picked up Jordan Reed last week. I wanted Reed mostly because I had Gates on a bye (he has Gronk). I texted him Wednesday morning, jokingly calling him a dick for picking up Reed when he really didn't need him (we're friends at work, and have hung out a few times outside of work). He said he would trade him to me, but I would have to pay. He said I would have to give up Frank Gore, but anyone else in the league can have him for much less than that. I offered him Hopkins (averaging 11.6) and Bowe (averaging 9) for Reed, because I'm pretty deep at WR, but he said no. I see today he accepted a trade for Stevie Johnson (averaging 10.6), which pretty much pisses me off.
Worst part is, I picked up Pettigrew this week, who got me 6, and Reed scored 17. I'm up by 11, with the guy I'm playing against still having Rice and Cook tonight. Not that Reed would have guaranteed me a victory, but he sure would have helped. Am I right to be pissed at this guy? It seems like pretty awful fantasy etiquette.
TL;DR: Guy is a dick about a trade, and this bro is mad.

What do the standings look like?? Are yall in the same division??

You can be mad, but only because you didn't get what you wanted. Not because he did anything wrong, because he didn't.

No divisions. I'm 6-1, he's 2-5, and he traded him to a team that is 3-4.

I guess he didn't do anything wrong, but it's a dick move to charge me a premium just because he knows I wanted him from the get-go. We already played each other as well, so that isn't a reason.

You offered him the #2 receiver on a team playing musical quarterbacks, and Mr. Bust-annually himself, and you're mad he didn't accept? At least he sees some upside in Stevie, with the starting quarterback coming back soon.

I'd rather have Johnson than Hopkins. The player he would have to cut to take on Bowe is probably better than Bowe too.

You offered him vomit for what looks like a TE1. Stevie isn't much of an upgrade but at least the Bills put up points.

Reed isn't even going to stay healthy.

He's gotten dinged up and missed plays in two straight weeks, that I've seen. He strikes me as a bit of a pussy.
eta: I don't know if he can't take a hit, or is just like a lot of these other "basketball types" that don't know how to fall when taking a tackle. He's going to have an ankle. Soon.

Another reason I left Da Parish. Shady fantasy football people.

You can say that about nearly every skill position. I hope you're wrong though. I'll watch the game either tonight or tomorrow.

I mean I very well could be. Just a feeling.

Why would he make your team better if you are already winning? Hell, I will pick up people just so others won't improve their team.

You say:
I say:
Buffalo is going through a very similar QB situation and Hopkins had his 2nd best game of his season with Keenum.
You say:
I say: Despite being labeled Mr. Bust, Bowe is only averaging 1.6 less than Johnson.

upside in Stevie

If I offered vomit, then he got diarrhea.

Sounds like you didn't offer the best deal for Reed....
I wouldn't have taken Stevie either, but I value him more than Hopkins. Bowe is droppable....garbaggio.
