They went 12-2 in 2011. Since that time they are 0-19, and they are losing BAD. Did Larry Fedora leave that program in THAT bad of shape?

It's a Mississippi football program. Do you expect anything more than that?

Karma for firing Jeff Bower

I've loved every second of it. Their fan base is like that annoying kid on the play ground who get his arse beat on a normal basis but yet won't quit talking shite.

I still remember them being up on Alabama 21-10 @ Bama about 5-7 years ago(can't remember). It was when Prothro made that ridiculous catch and Bama went on to win like 38-21

I remember that game as well. Strange that it's been that long

quote:Probably not. If you look at their 2011 season, they scored a ton of points but they also gave up a ton. Larry was an offensive coach probably recruited that way. Ellis Johnson comes in with offensive talent but he's a defensive coach. He couldn't score the points to avoid losing. Plus, some times, you are a life long assistant/coordinator for a reason. However, their athletic department was in such disarray that they felt they had to do something but I think Johnson should have been given another year to see if they could get some improvement.

Yep. They really have been turrible lately..It probably makes me the worst fan ever that i graduated from there but only went to 2 games in my life compared to around 50 LSU games

Larry had one of the top 2 QB'S in Southern Miss history of course he did well on offense. But also while he was there he did not recruit for them at all.

A guy that went to Southern Miss but roots for LSU? No way
Posted on 10/27/13 at 11:48 am to The Calvin
That sound's like my grandfather .... he graduated from Southern Miss and only been to 2 maybe 3 of their game's while he's been to almost every Ole Miss game since Johnny Vaught was there

Parents went there. But good one, man

No seriously, that shite is so typical
Posted on 10/27/13 at 11:51 am to Beer Bryant
What does this have to do with the SEC?
Posted on 10/27/13 at 11:53 am to OBReb6
It's typical because they suck so badly and nobody wants to be associated with them
