It's pretty damn long, I mean there's a monster fight that can last several hours itself.

Unfortunately I have a PS3 slim that isn't backwards compatible.

I played Lunar on the PS1, I remember it being pretty damn good.

It is a good game. I finished the first one a few months ago. I strangely beat the 2nd back in the day but never the 1st.

how long is the gameplay in XII?

Put it to you this way, I have finished all the hunts and Marks (which are side-quest) except two because they're hard to find and difficult to beat. I still have two OP bosses to beat that are suppose to take an average of 8 hours each. I don't have all the ultimate weapons or armor because the loot you need is hard as shite to get and you need some hella luck. I'm missing one esper because when you get it down to a curtain HP it becomes unstoppable and you have to time your quickening (which are like limit breaks) just right. Oh and the path to that motherfricker is loaded with some pretty difficult fiends. There's a few other things I'm missing but can't remember off the top of my head, but I've had the game pretty much since it came out and I've put about 150+ hours into it, and I don't even have everyone to level 100. That's my first/master file.

I've played through it a bunch of times with friends that never played it, so the replay value I would put at 96%.

Good luck. FF12 has the longest story out of all of them, imo. Not as much extra content (you have the hunts and???), but it'll take a solid 50-60 to get through the story.

Looking for some opinions on Dissidia

looks interesting, but I can't really tell if would enjoy it or not. does it have an interesting story, or is it all about the gameplay ?

I loved it! Was fun playing with FF characters in an entirely different way.

Story is interesting, but the focus is primarily on the gameplay. It's a RPG fighting game.

I think I'll give it a shot

Should I play the prequel (dissidia 012) first, even though it is the newer of the 2 games ?

This thread made me pull out VIII yesterday. I know most people hate the junction/draw system but I've always loved it.

I'd play the original first since the mechanics were evolved from one entry to the next.

Is that the zodiac one in the mines? It helps to switch out parties before he does his finishing attack. Have them heal your main party, the esper kills the second party and boom, main party back in there fighting.

Yeah, I did all that. My problem is I have my dream team, then I have the B-squad. And the B stands for fricking weak. I just never got around to leveling them up. They're sitting around 50-60 while my dream team is about 80.

That's how I was Friday. It was between VIII or XII. BTW make sure you defeat Diablo as soon as you get out of Garden.

Power level the Suck Team.

Also, FYI Zeromus is the end boss in FF2 or IV, I also wondered why they brought him back as a summon.

Well yeah I know that. I'm just too damn lazy. As for Zeromus, FF is always doing little cameos like that. All through out VII there's little Easter eggs to Chrono Trigger.

Wow, I've played through VII a lot, never noticed any of them? What are they?
