for the past few weeks people have complained about a lack of support from the fans, either not showing up or leaving early. tonight I was at the game cheering on the tigers and what was I told? TO SIT DOWN!!

Furman was within a few yards of scoring a TD on the endzone right next to the section that I was in and no one around me would cheer for the defense.

ridiculous, you can wear a shirt, call yourself a fan, but in the end youre a worthless pos

It needs to be taught in elementary school on up that no matter where you go, the person in front of you is allowed to stand up.

Are you fat?

People pay a lot of money for their tickets. Maybe you were just obstructing the view for more laid back fans unfortunate to be stuck behind you?

Like it or not, old people do not want to stand during a game. They can't see the game. They will get pissed off, no doubt

Sounds like there was a reason non-loyalty related for them telling you that. Maybe they couldnt stand because they were old, or you are a just a rather abnormally shaped person standing up. You can still cheer and sit down you know, it really is possible, promise.

yes there where a few older fans behind me, when I say a few, I mean 2, it appeared to me that everyone else was more than capable of standing to cheer on the team.

and as far as the fat comments, no, im not fat, if you must know im a Marine, so no im not fat

it just bothers me that some want to complain about ppl leaving early, but at the same time ppl don't want to stand up to cheer on the team, if youre old, I get it, just glad youre there, but if you have a capable body, why cant you get off your a** to try and motivate the team.

The problem is that you went into the game expecting anything more than an uninterested and disgusted stadium to see LSU play a cupcake.

That's a "you" problem.

Seems like all the shitty fans reside in this thread replying to a fan who at least tried to be such.

I think you were told to sit probably because the person behind you chose not to stand and and see the game, not everyone wants to stand for the entire game, while your support is appreciated, don't confuse someone just wanting to sit and enjoy the game with non loyalty.

Don't think the OP said he stood the entire game. I get what he is saying. And yes, there is somewhat of a protocol in the stands if no one else around you is standing. But if you stand for one play at a time, then protocol would suggest that others can stand behind you. Obviously if the fan behind can't stand due to limitations, then take that into account. From the looks of the crowd in the south end zone there appeared to be plenty of gaps where you could adjust your seating position for better viewing.
