Has anyone here tried gopher?

If so, how did you cook it? I was thinking putting the cleaned meat on tin foil with seasonings and butter and grill it.

Season with salt and pepper and a touch of sage. Dredge in flour, and fry, then make gravy with onions and simmer awhile. They can get a little tough but tender up if simmered. Good with mashed potatoes or dumplings.

Good God homey I can take you to a farmers market in St Louis where the Friday/Saturday offerings will make your eyes bug out of their sockets. You can tell what the beaver is because o the flat tail still attached. All of the fowl domesticated type and what you would consider wild in nature get the heads removed in front of you. Make a note or buying those things for yourself that "plucking the feathers" of is them going to produce one of the most horrendous smells for your olfactory senses to endure(I think that is why the term fowl is used)
