Choices are down to Jacque, Pete, Pierre, Parrish, and Seymour. Parrish sounds like a winner to me.

Me too. I don't like that they added another "r" in there for Parrish. Plus Jacque just sounds better. Parrish doesn't have that mascot air to it. Parrish the Pelican sounds like a cheesy name made to target the 5-10 year old demo.
Jacque the Pelican just sounds and feels like the best fit, IMO. Wish it has an "s" at the end though...

I don't particularly love or hate any of those choices. I'm guessing the winner will eventually grow on me. I'm gonna go with Jacque just to break the mold of mascot nicknames resorting to the lazy old alliteration cliche. (And I do realize that makes me somewhat of a hypocrite for loving the Pistol idea
