I know Mett will play most of the game and probably rack up 500 yards passing, but can we expect to see our 2014 starter get any meaningful snaps/throw some passes? I would think it would be good if he got some game experience besides some qb draw plays

It's Miles. He's sees no point in giving our future qb any meaningful snaps before we throw him to the wolves when we play Wisconsin.

I am praying that is not the way its going to be.

To me not getting all of the youth experience for next year from here on is not acceptable.

I think he plays a full half.

Give me a minute while I call up Les to ask him. I'll get back to you in a few.

Yes, because I fully expected one of you to be either Coach Les Miles or Cam Cameron

Not until 2 minutes left to do victory formation

He's just the back up why should he get any snaps under his belt to be more ready for next year??? (sarcasm off)

You can say whatever you want, but there is a difference in playing against a team(even if it is equivalent to a h/s team)before a home crowd other than your own. Especially if he can get into a rhythm--just gives him more confidence going forward into next year, or at least i would hope.

tell me what exactly will Jennings learn from playing the majority of snaps against Furman?

and then tell how much you seriously believe it will affect his play starting next year?

Let me rephrase my question to you: did you ever play 1) organized sports and 2) a significant position on a team because you obviously cant comprehend the difference between practice and a live game. wow

Why do coaches ever put in freshman players if we can just save them until after their redshirt years--and they would be just as good?

yes

I understand the difference between practice and a live game. I would love to see Jennings play the entire 2nd half.

But I also realize that playing snaps against Furman will not have any affect whatsoever on Jennings at the start of next year.

None. Whatsoever.

In all honesty, he probably gets more experience in 1 LSU practice than a full game vs furman would give him
