I can only assume that Jamarcus Russell's attempted comeback fizzled

I mean, if teams are calling Brett Favre, that's gotta be a sign.

What happened with it exactly? Was there at least some conclusion to the thing?

Supposedly he has an injury he is rehabbing

According to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport, there's a reason for that. A source close to the player says Russell has been dealing with a knee issue and is not ready yet. His weight also continues to fluctuate, which has been an ongoing issue for the former first overall draft pick.

The Titans showed interest but he hurt his knee. He'll be in someone's camp this summer

The mistake by JaMarcus...

Waiting until February (of this year) to start back working out.

If he had started working out Fall of 2012....He wouldnt have overworked himself and hurt his knee.

Its a shame because he would be a roster right now imo.

weeden and freeman and a ton of other fails are playing ball in the league. It really is a joke that Jamarcus isn't in the league. He did it to himself. We'll see how bad he wants it.

I picture Jrock walking out of some team's tunnel clad in white furs with "all the way turnt up" blaring out of the stadium loudspeakers very soon.

obviously he bears a lionshare of the responsibility but I do wonder if things would have been any different for him had he gone to any other team besides the absolute trainwreck that was the mid 2000's Oakland Raiders.

Al Davis et al share that blame for said trainwreck. Terrible system he was in.
